Sakurai must hate the way Pokemon went over the last Generations, and now he want to change the way Gamfreak thinks.
Think about it: Back in the day he usually chose famous Pokemon to be in Smash to give non-pokemon players a good look on Pokemon.
But NOW he decided to include Incineroar, the canonically worst Pokemon to ever be created. Heck, Gamefreak didnt even bother giving it a special ability, unlike the other Starters of Gen7. instead it got one of the most generic, but broken abilities and its still barely usefull
This will result in Non-Pokemon player to cringe at the newest Pokemon designs and will result in extremly low sales of new pokemon games.
That way gamefreak finally has to rethink the Route they are taking.
