Though to be fair I've never done that as a result of finding a Shiny and would definitely never do so as a result of finding one in a game like this for it's content or the unrarity of Shinies.

It's funny though. It actually makes me think they tried banking on the biggest autists, Shiny hunters, not realizing many of them eschew ways to make them easier meaning this game doesn't appeal to them at all since many stick to Gen 5 and before and won't go things like the Shiny Charm or use Masuda where they exist because not full original odds are worthless to many of them.

Another autist here, and when I see a shiny that I did nothing to try and obtain, pure random chance, yeah I get a giant grin on my face and go AW SHIT SON, but I don't freak out.

On the other hand, yesterday when starting over Crystal, I encountered a shiny pidgey BEFORE the game gives you any pokeballs. Pic related, I could feel air deflating from a balloon.

There are no Ride Pokemon, the Pokemon you ride you have to actually catch and have in your party. Basically you take it out as if to have it follow you, but some Pokemon you just ride on.

No it's not. It's only like that after chaining 31 of the same species. It's just super easy to chain in this game and because the Pokemon appear on the overworld your chances increase because 4-5 Pokemon appear at once instead of 1. The Pokemon itself still has the same actual rate as before the process just moves faster.

You catch chain to get shiny odds though. So you do battle and eventually find the rare. But it is less exciting when you notice it in the overworld than when it appears in your face at the start of the battle.
