I feel that there is some miscommunication about the grievances some have with LGPE (then again this could be intentional since this is 4chan and people shitpost for the sake of shitposting but I digress) so I feel that I would like to clarify it.
First off let me get it out of the way that this is not about whether LGPE is fun or not, fun is subjective and I'd rather not get into a philosophical debate about what quantifies 'fun' and how 'fun' should be measured.
Now then let's start off with the most obvious complaint of 'it's just Kanto again'. Now the defense of this is that there is nothing wrong with Kanto and that there is nothing wrong with paying homage to the place that started it all. And you're right, there is nothing wrong with Kanto in and of itself, but to pander to Kanto at the expense of every other region to the point of cutting out every Pokemon past Gen I save Alola forms and the Meltan line makes GF appear to not be confident in their own series, as if the only appeal of Pokemon is Nostalgia as well as essentially saying that ONLY fans of the first generation matter, which is a paradoxical statement to make when combined with the idea of the game bringing in new people into the games. Even GO fans, have to this point all Pokemon up to Gen 3 and some of Gen 4.
Another Problem that linking in to the first Is how the wild battle system was completely overhauled (or rather removed for the most part). This is not a sleight at the motion controls, in fact had wild battles stayed in with motion controls, there would be no issue. The fact that wild battles were removed entirely is what people have a problem with. People say that this is to 'remove RNG', but the act of capturing Pokemon is still reliant on RNG, perhaps more so now that there are less ways to mitigate the RNG through lowering HP, Status afflictions, or preventing the mon from running away.
