That being said, I did crack and buy let's go, this is the first time I'm admitting it on /vp/, I didn't come here for a few days because I felt so ashamed but I couldn't hold off. As a guy who does hate a lot of what Let's Go did, a lot of it really is a step in the right direction. I think there's good and bad, more bad than good, especially when you consider the POTENTIAL of the series, but just because the potential is multiple times better than the real thing doesn't make the real thing worthless.
For example, if you don't think Pokemon in the overworld is a good improvement to the series I seriously don't understand your logic. Also, I hope these games serve as a reminder to Game freak that you don't need to have so many fucking cutscenes in the game to make it good. I know it's cheating, since it's a remake of Gen 1, but still I hope they realize this game is all the better for the lack of an intrusive story and much less cutscenes and dialogue.
