Fucking hell, this game doesn't even have day/night cycles. With the exception of "graphics" and QOL improvements, this game is inferior to games that released 14 years ago.

I expected nothing from this game and was still disappointed when I watched the stream of the leaked copy. I decided it wasn't fair to judge it based on just that so I'm playing it for myself and it somehow even shittier when it's in my hands and I'm actually playing it. I'm pretty sure thew few good things in this game, namely following/riding mons aren't going to make it into any actually good pokemon games, if those will even be made anymore.

Screencap this. Breeding, held items and day/night cycle have been cut out so that GF can repackage it into Let's Go Pichu/Marill and pretend they're new features along with """new""" moves, and abilities will be a new and innovative feature in Let's Go Plusle/Minun.

I have a few questions.

1. So I found out that I need to train, for instance, a Rattata and a Raticate cause theres a master trainer for both. Is there an Everstone-like item so that I don't have to cancel evolution everytime a Pokemon levels?

2. Are you supposed to use lures only AFTER you chain 31 if you want to find shinies?

3. Can you change the nickname of Pokemon you get from trades from NPCs ingame?

I'll be honest, I never managed to finish FRLG. They bored me to death. I thought I was done with Kanto.

Now I can't put my switch down, so I guess not. Just couldn't stand the graphics and slowness of Kanto back in gen3, since I still love RBY and can't stop playing LGPE.

Bug types having good attacking moves and buffs, reusable tms, physical water moves, following pokemon, surfing and flying without gym badges, actual level scaling around Kanto instead of the whole region capping out at around 38, a little more plot and a few decent cutscenes, trainer dress up, modestly improved learnsets across the board

There's Red, rechallenging gym leaders and the elite four, there's Green, and there are 151 Master Trainers scattered around everywhere that you can fight.

They are each masters of one pokemon and you have to fight them with the same pokemon. Theirs are level 75 and I'm pretty sure they're perfect IV.

But, the series lost me as a part of the target audience, because assburgers needed a billion retarded looking Pokémon to obsess over and natures and all kinds of retarded shit. The series should've stayed at 151 Pokémon, but that wouldn't have satisfied kids with no ability to socialize.

Hasty is actually pretty good ingame and for casual online play since your Mew can go mixed special-physical. It's only when you want to do competitive autism that it is less than ideal because you want either specialize in offense (Timid-Jolly) or defense (Calm/Careful) but then your Mew needs to be tailored specifically with your ingame team with some obscure TM/HM/Tutor moves from earlier games.

But then again LGPE metagame has not been fully established yet, within LGPE Mew might be able to go mixed and Hasty. Honestly I would be pretty happy that I got a Hasty Mew because you can't soft reset or use fortune teller to manipulate the Nature.
