>>37042712Most of the time in the Battle Tower/Maison/Tree is spent actually battling. There are 190 unique trainers, each with a variety of possible teams, appearing in a random order. It's unpredictable and a legitimate challenge.
Preparing for the Master Trainers just requires you catch a lot of Pokemon and then doing the battle.
In the tree the scales are tipped against you: you are confined to the four same Pokemon the whole time, meaning you have to do some actual thought and planning.
In Master Trainers, the reverse is true. There's no unpredictability, your stats can be ridiculously higher than the opponent's, and unlike the Tree many have incompetent sets.
