Yuor pokemon ran out of PPs and you don't have ether? Inestead of dealing with it you just change it
You have a particularly bad matchaup with a trainer due to poor teambuilding? Instead of getting punished for your errors you can just switch anytime to have the perfect lineup for any given opponent.
Before you had to carefully plan your team and/or stock on items before entering a route/doungeon, with the bag pc you can just go in mindlessly because you have hundreds of pokemon to use at hand.
