how would you feel about this as a compromise for shinies becoming easier to get? I think it would be a cool way to create a more active trading community and there would be potential for millions of amazing combinations

No it is not. AI's have nothing to do with Spinda patterns.
It is a simple question of overlapping textures.

I'm against this idea personally, but I'm sure it wouldn't take much work to implement. There's tens of thousands of ways you can tweak textures during real time.
