If you don't teach your starter Pokémon any of the ridiculous moves like zippy zappy or whatever the fuck it's called, these games are genuinely harder than the entirety of generation 6 and large chunks of generation 7

I'm not defending the games and I'm not even saying they're tough but I've had a few Pokémon actually faint on me. I went through almost the entirety of the 3DS era without so much as a scratch. It seems to me as though they got the levelling curve a bit better in these games, assuming you don't grind 30+ capture chains every route you're on
