>>37050469Chansey in lgpe is one of the few mons with reliable recovery in softboiled that doesn't get easily destroyed by rocks like roisting flying types do, it is still bulkier than everything else even in a meta where everything is bulky, can reliably set stealth rocks turn 1 AND eventually poison every mon in your party that isn't a poison type, paralyze every mon that isn't an electric type, and even if taunted it can still chip away small but meaningful damage by spamming seismic toss, which has guaranteed utility despite not being THAT good, because there's only two ghosts in the game, one of which you'll barely ever see, and the other unable to trap or touch chansey as it would if it had its ability and full moveset (but if it did it'be instabanned anyways).
In the candyless meta it loses steam since it has no way of patching its defense, but in the candied one there's barely any team without it.
