Why does Game Freak get such a pass to be so lazy? I mean look at this, it's niche weeboo game on Wii U. Pokemon is one of the biggest media franchises in the world.

They would clarify that Arceus is the Demiurge of the Pokemon world and the plates would be zohar emulators. Then KOS-MOS would show up and nothing would make sense but look really cool the whole time and sound intense.

You're all forgetting Nintendo games sell at standard price, so more effort isn't going to be rewarded. Sakurai's efforts in Smash are all at his own expense since 1) he's not going to get extra pay and 2) fans are going to expect him to put out even more now for the next one.

They should do what pretty much every rpg has done since the 90's. Iddle animation until you input a command and then battle stance until they perform a move. Only that would add a lot of personality to the models and make the battles seem more dynamic.

At the very least, they should not make pretty much every single pokemon stand in an almost T pose in battle
