anyone think GF or Nintendo is paying people to play this game. I'm looking on my YT feed and I see tons of LPs of this game from people who don't even play pokemon games at all, or even know any of them outside of Pikachu. I feel like that is helping with its success. However this was not done with Sun/Moon really (only poketubers played it). I feel like they are shilling to the max just to get systems sold at this point.

Breeding and Natures is something antithetical to the message that pokemon tries to promote.

Though honestly it could be alleviated by allowing nature effects to be altered, and making IV boosting to be possible by say, expending EV points.

They would never get rid of them and let go of VGC, the biggest pokemon even of the year. Bottle Caps already help but I don't get why your pokemon must be 100. Finishing the main story and getting to 50 should be enough to unlock them.
Changing Natures which are essentially a pokemon personality would be extremely fucked and go directly against the game message, being able to model them to the personality you like as if they were tools or weapons with no feelings, and changing nature effects would fuck up the parts where they need to be visible and probably banned in Battle Spot.

The game promotes being able to use the Pokemon you actually catch instead of raising hundreds of throwaway fodder. That is superior to having boxes full of breedjects that nobody wants.
