I was never talking about children to begin with.
For all the shit they get with Minecraft, Fortnite and other meme games, at least they can hold their own and teach themselves how to play and git gud with enough time and effort which they do commit themselves to.
Meanwhile these fucking morons can't be assed to memorize and understand mechanics for a game that continues to treat the player lower and lower until eventually they're completely underground, and would rather stay that way until the game grants them instant gratification as soon as they push "start".

All Pokemon games are piss easy if you know type effectiveness. At best, there have been a handful of difficult battles scattered throughout the series like Whitney's Miltank, Red at Mt. Silver and Ultra Necrozma.

Define 'hard'. Having enemies that just have exponentially bigger numbers than you or outright cheat isn't actual difficulty, it's a chore when there's not some method to win that doesn't devolve into a DPS race or praying they don't use the move that fucks the run.
