Still using the pokeradar for a female Burmy. In between unsuccessful chains, I was going after Yamna through horde battles, but I only get shiny Nosepass and Electrikes still.

Roamers (not suicune) are the hard ones to do, you have to save before they start roaming. Would not recommend hunting for those unless you're ready to hunt for months

hunt for a ditto so you can breed for anything. also if a wild non shiny ditto transforms into a shiny ditto and you catch the wild ditto, it stays shiny, so you could have a whole bunch

That only works if you send the shiny to R/B/Y, catch the ditto in said games and transfer it to G/S/C.

Yeah and I say anybody that isn't shiny hunting in early gen safari zones is babymode.

Gamefreak has made shiny hunting easier multiple times before, looking down on people shiny hunting in LGPE whilst doing it in a game like S/M or ORAS is fucking hilarious.

Can we get rid of people ho hunt in the gen 6 and 7 games,too? They literally lowered the shiny right by half in those games, that's not fair to people like me who have been hunting since Gen 2 with the real odds

Only two shinies I ever reset for, one was my shiny Feraligatr in Heartgold, but the big one was my shiny Rayquaza in SoulSilver. I spent months resetting in front of Rayquaza. not a constant thing, ind you, more like every once in a while I'd spend a few hours resetting over a six or so month period. Don't know ho many thousands of resets.

Eventually I one day got that big black Rayquaza and on top of it finally showing up jumping outta my fucking chair it ALSO had ridiculously good IVs for attack and special attack on top of its predisposition for both those stats. The thing is a fucking monster I EV trained it further for attacking.

Not sure what you mean by how long does it take to SR. Each SR probably takes like 15-30 seconds depending on the game/pokemon you're doing, if you're even doing SRs. Maybe you're doing random encounters or breeding. If you're asking how long it takes to get a shiny, there's no answer. It's completely random. You could get it on your first SR or your 10,000th.

The base shiny rate for games before X/Y is 1/8192. X/Y the rate is 1/4096. These are what people refer to as "full odds". If you have the shiny charm the rates are lowered even further, and if you're method hunting (chain fishing, dex nav, masuda method, etc) it can go down even further.

You should know the act itself is pretty boring and can take weeks/months/years depending on your luck, what you're hunting and how often you hunt. The feeling when you finally get what you've been looking for though can be incredibly rewarding. Definitely not for everyone though.
