>>37069185The problem isn't exp share itself, it's balancing. The Gen 6/7 exp share is the way it should have always worked, except the lead pokemon should gain 50% instead of 100%. You should be encouraged to run a team of 6 different pokemon, and possibly swap in and out to have a roster of 10 or so equally leveled 'mons depending on the zone.
Pokemon should be about type matchups, the old system where it's optimal to just overlevel one pokemon
the fire starter and steamroll everything is dumb. If the game is properly balanced around exp share always on, like USUM was, you can play with a wide variety of different pokemon in a run without being too strong or too weak, and have a much better experience.
