Im on Route 3 Catching Sandshrew trying to make charmander appear.

Everyime I catch charmander the chain breaks and I cant find anymore

This is where you're fucking up, if you're building up a Catch Combo it HAS o be the same species throughout the combo.

Because it's a rare spawn, once you break the Sandshrew combo to catch the first Charmander the odds of rare spawns showing up go down. Like >>37071990 said, once you catch the first Charmander use a lure to increase the odds again.

Yep. Until you get a Charmander combo going the odds of it showing up are just that low. The good thing is that lures work like revives, they wear off as you walk around. But in this game you don't actually have to walk around for the effects to work, the spawns will increase on their own. So just use the lure and stand there until you see a Charmander, catch it, and repeat until you get a combo going and you don't need anymore lures.
