here is a fun fact, mawile is my favorite pokemon because its cute despite being a steel type AND its cool despite being a fairy (which are mostly just pink blobs).

however, its hard to begin a game run with a low-level mawile without trading it because its fairly rare to get in most games, that is, until USUM came out, where you can get one in ten-carat hill.

instantly USUM became my favorite game to run solely because of that reason, it made it the comfiest game to play in the series/

what are some examples of this case for you? is there a pokemon game that you hold on a higher standard JUST because of the pokemon variety in the early routes? often I think the reason so many people like R/S/E is because of how early they can catch a raltz.
