Wanna know why no one talks about Magmar when Gen 1 is discussed? Because it is the most ugliest piece of shit design ever.

LOOK AT IT. Fucking LOOK AT THIS RIDICULOUS design. It honestly looks like dickbutt in Pokémon form and it makes me want to vomit out something that looks better than Magmar. At least Magby is cute and Magmorter is sort of an upgrade? What's Magmar's excuse though? Fuck Magmar, I hate him.

What I mean to say is, I dislike when Pokemon have arms that can't do anything besides a very specific function. The same goes for stuff like Scyther. I don't think there's a single Pokemon I like that I couldn't conceivably shake it's hand in some fashion.

Magmortar has an inferior color scheme (the weird pink) , disproportionate limbs, object arms, inexplicably a beak becomes clown lips and the body pattern/hugeness to it is ugly. It is uncanny as a pokemon design. Magmar is OG. You and others itt have bad taste and you have bad art quality recognition skills. absolutely correct. I hated magmar when I was 9 and I still don't care for it at 27. It has never grown on me. It was my least favorite pokemon until Stunfisk came along. Since then, I've learned to like Stunfisk. Magmar is still shit.

The stupid color with that dumb flame pattern, the weird beak and the ass on his forehead that makes it look like a retard (at least magmortar looks smug) the egg-body and that long tail for no reason (that magmortar changes for the better).
Also the cannon arms have 3 (fingers?) it can use to grab stuff, only it can retract them to shoot shit.

Trust me, they're both utter trash. But you can't say magmar is a good design. You just can't. You probably should be the one taking that "art class"

Not to mention the flames on the body that look like they've been drawn by a 3 years old, they remind me of my youth. And those limbs, they start with just four bright yellow balls that totally don't clash with the red, it couldn't be orange, that would pop too little. Not to mention the totally random spikes on its back, sonic the hedgehog style baby.
And that tail? It's like they thought: "mmm, this pokemon just needs something else other that all that crap. Oh, yes! Just put charizard's tail on him! That looks great!"

Sonic is a bad character now? I always liked him, much better designed than Mario.
Also there is nothing inherently wrong with spikes. I like spikes, and I like spiked characters like Nidoking.

Magmortar colors suck. Do does magmar's. Magmortar's mouth sucks. So does magmar's beak. Magmortar's body type sucks. Magmar is the same, he's just thinner. Magmortar has weird cannon arms that can shoot stuff. It's stupid, but it's better than those weird "oni" arms that look like nothing. Magmortar has a different tail, which is better that magmar's. Magmortar also doesn't have a butt on its face.

Btw, that was gbc level color, so it can be anything. In the anime and artworks it's bright yellow, not that shade.
