LGPE only had new entries for the Kanto megas and the Meltan line, and I don't think they could have possibly made more boring entries.

I feel like it is a nice thought that a lot of them focus on the bond with the trainer being the only thing keeping their destructive powers in check, since I have never quite understood why a trainer's bond is necessary for Mega Evolution. But it's a bit weird that they kind of gloss over that many of them are still in pain while mega evolved. But I don't think it is an actual contradiction.

Probably a bit of both. It still has rocks and rock typing (from the fossilization), but it's had all of it's genes restored too.
Aerodactyl - 80%(?) Original, 20% Fossil
OG Aerodactyl - 100% Original
Mega Aerodactyl - 100% Original, 30% Fossil (yes I know that sounds retarded as hell)

If Aero still has the dormant genes its because its complete... Unless you think that Megas can change and rewrite the complete genetic structure of a pokemon instead of just activating dormant genes...

The idea fossils are part rock because they became fossilized is retarded as hell... We know about Relicant for 20 years now or something... Then the entry on Aero mega to confirm it...
