It was smart of GF to just have one eeveelution for XY, since everyone would've chosen Sylveon anyway, which would've been unfair to it's potential opposing counterpart. Knowing Nishida though, she probably already has a design down for the next eeveelution to introduce for Gen 8 when the time comes.
