It's weird knowing how close we are to the gen 8 trailer. It feels like SM was revealed yesturday but it was over 2 years ago

They already teased a new gen is in development when lgpe were announced. These are the same people that announced XY 3 months after the release of BW2.

I feel like we'll get some really basic announcement in late January, early February.

Starters will leak in early March and revealed a week or two later.

The majority of stuff we'll know around the summer.
