For all accounts, nowhere, because it never happened. Pokemon has always been successful, so it never failed on any level as a product. As a franchise, it does about as well as any other well known brand. The matter that it is so successful also means that it has never ceased to be popular as well. It also has not ceased functioning either. In what other way could it have possibly died? The only other way is for it to cease the function it had for you. That's not exactly dying, it's just terminating a relationship. It still functions without you.
