Probably x and y. They’re easier, have huge pools of Pokémon so more random picks, and grinding isn’t as bad.

XY isn't enjoyable even with a Wonderlocke.

The easiest ones to start are Emerald or FRLG.

USUM is the best game in the series by far to have a nuzlocke. No kidding: hard challenges, good variety, no hm slave needed, its objectively the best for that. Pick that one before any other for a nuzlocke.
