It will probably be announced anytime between the day after christmas and the beginning of spring. The only reason ultra changes and LGBT were announced in may is because they have far less new content to promote in trailers than the first entry in a new generation

It's a confirmed late 2019 release (most likely friday before Black Friday again) and after Masuda copping to revealing SM too early and waiting so long with nothing to show off, am betting they'll not announce until May like last time and LGEP.

Again, no. I can see them dropping it either before/after Det. Pikachu opens to feed off its hype instead. LGEP was only ever meant to be taken on its own merit, the fact GF not only announced Pokémon 2019 at the same press conference, but also underlined the differences between the two games (indeed going as far as to say the game announced at E3 in 2017 was the same Core game coming next year and not LGEP) shows even THEY aren't placing as much importance on the title as opposed to what we've been told about the coming games.
