It's been 12 years anon, the dust settled long ago and is probably fossilized and in a museum somewhere.
Anyways, it's still your standard shillmon fare, but it at least was useful in the campaign and got a bit of a do over design-wise come Gen 6 so it's not too shabby but still a pretty normie tier mon.

I hated it because they just fucking give it to you. It probably would have been one of my favorite mons if it wasn't part of the handholding experience of Gen 4 (which I disliked as a gen overall) and then again in XY.

The first time I got one and didn't box it was actually Sun/Moon, and it's a beast on battlespot and while it's not one of my favorites, at least I no longer hate it.

I don't understand how anyone could hate it. The designs is nice, it has legs and paws like an actual dog instead of looking like a man in a fursuit like incineroar. It can be portrayed as cool or adorable. It had some of the best fights in the awful anime.

No canine has pads on that part of their leg, that part never even touches the ground when they walk, there's no reason it would have a pad there.

In dogs even having just a dewclaw there is pretty uncommon and wolves in the wild NEVER have a dewclaw on their hock like that.
