Cyber Sleuth is a passable SMT clone and a straight upgrade to Sun/Moon because of this(because they're both super linear game maps with cutscenes out the ass)

Most people's first game wasn't sinnoh, they don't feel nostalgia for it. Vp were children when sinnoh came out, and are so bitter they would rather gate keep newer players away from sinnoh

Remakes make sense when mechanics and graphics are outdated. There isn't much to remake from gen 4 that would be drastically different. Plus it would just be awkward to keep switching to top down view in order to solve ice sliding puzzles.

Because Remakes are the literal only time a region that isn't KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOO gets a chance to shine again, ever.
And it's fucking sad that we have to clamor for shitty remakes just to get that spotlight, when all it ends up doing in the end is make people hate that region even more, thus intensifying the reasoning that Kanto is the only region worth giving spotlight to even in other regions.

An in-depth remaster would be nice though. Like don’t even change the graphics (I don’t like the way people look in the 3D games), just update the pokedex and battle mechanics and quality of life features. Speed up load times and fix little annoyances like hp falling speed. Make it trade compatible with the modern games.

Have an option for animated sprites in battles like BW2 had, but make it something that can be turned off for people who didn’t like that look.

To accomodate the most recent mons battles might have to use the 3D models cause gamefreak is too lazy to make new sprites, but whatever. There’s already a psuedo-3D with the overworld so it shouldn’t be too jarring.

Basically all of this could be ported over from other games. Add a hard mode available from the start for extra credit.

Call it shiny platinum or some shit. Enhanced port is the way to go.
