I just completed the main story in Platinum, and have never played it before. How can I access the events, such as Regigigas and Arceus on Spear Pillar? I'm playing on an R4 Gold Plus flash cart.

There should be action replay codes for mystery gifts. If not maybe you could pokegen the event regigigas and the azure flute and such

I actually have an Arceus from the 2012, they never released the azure flute officially, and I got mine via hand out. However, I hear there was a glitch in Pokemon Diamond, that can get you up top to fight Arceus. Dunno if this helps, happy hunting!

if you got an r4 you can find the distribution roms online.
some might require you to change the date of your ds to the date it was supposed to be distributed.
you can also make your own rom and insert the wondercards you can also find online

Getting Regigigias is still possible. If you are playing on a DS with dual slot, play RSE, get the reggies and transfer
Otherwise just do what everyone else said.
Azure Flute requires hacking.

if you hack in the azure flute into your inventory the event will not trigger, you need the .pcd file for the azure flute. it's out there just google it
