Cutscenes are NOT a problem in Sun and Moon and USUM. This misconception must die before it gets worse.

By definition, a cutscene is a cinematic scene you passively watch without being able to do anything (no button inputs), except there is a button to skip it.

The real problem of the gen7 games are the unskippable and way too long forced NPC story dialogue sequences, in which you HAVE to actively press a button to continue the game.

Most games have these and usually they aren't a problem, not even in previous Pokemon games. But they ARE a problem in Gen7 since there are way too many of them which aren't fun too read since it is not interesting or new information.

The only way to fix this is to rewrite and change the entire story and writing from scratch. A skip button for cutscenes like they implemented in LGPE is absolutely useless in that game and would also be in the Gen7 games since there just aren't that many cutscenes. As far as i can remember, there is only the one at the beginning of the game, the one where you pick your starter, the one where the UBs invade Alola and the obligatory cover legendary cutscene. Maybe also the one after you beat the league, but that one has credits in them so i guess it doesn't really count.
