My first Sparky died with my first playthrough. I wiped after evolving my like level 8 Jigglypuff in Mt Moon - thinking it would heal it - and then turned the game off without saving.
I was so unbelievably bad.

To be fair, Fly was more or less your best bet if you wanted to do Flying-type damage. Sky Attack was end-game and not many mons could learn it. This is Gen 1 we're talking about here.

True though two wing attacks does the same damage and a single drill peck does more.The tip hypes up the fact you avoid your opponents moves when you actually only dodge anything if you KO something with fly, otherwise you get hit before take off or upon landing.
If you're fast enough to go first you may as well attack twice and abuse Gen 1 crits kek

No, but I was in to mythology as a kid; loved greek myths in particular, but I knew other stuff. You'd see it in final fantasy and other games. I also knew Krakatoa at that age. I didn't know Hyperion until I went to the redwoods as a teenager. Jeet Koon is an omage to Jeet Kune Do, which is the fighting style Bruce Lee made. Blacklight is a mix blacksheep and lighthouse.

Long time I don't play the mainline games, I don't even remember the teams.
