I wish these transformations were all called Mega Evolution and followed the same rules. It's added complexity for the sake of it.
We have Mega Evolution, Primal Reversion, Ultra Burst and Battle Bond. One of the megas doesn't even need a stone to evolve. They're all nuanced ways of achieving the same bloody thing.
Just fucking make them all Megas and require a mega stone. I can at least tolerate Primals though as legendaries are on another level lore-wise.
