>>37116119The problem with the new Pokémon look is the lack of animations. Back when Pokémon were sprites GF just had one pose to work and leave an impact on the player. Now the Pokémon are constantly moving so there's no reason for posing anymore, but thanks to the 3 or so animations every Pokémon has you can't see them doing the stuff they're know for.
Typoshion should always have its flames on during battle, Hitmontop should rotate more because that's how it attacks and defends best, Xatu should stay still unless the player orders it to fly, and so on.
