>>37122452>I think a lot of people are ok with LGPE and thats why not everyone bitch about it...Dude, did you miss the shitstorm before and during release? A lot of people were actively against these games, but it only created more attention towards them and how petty people can be. They're basically muted now because it's selling well and there's nothing else they can do about it.
People don't like change, that's really what it came down to. I try to have an open mind and gave these games a shot, and I'm frankly impressed with a lot of the minor quality of life tweaks they've made. Not having to travel to a PC to change your party and basically being able to switch on the fly is fantastic. Not having to battle wild Pokemon and whittle their health down without accidentally killing them streamlines the whole system and makes things a lot faster. Not having to waste a slot in your party to a HM slave is really great, although they didn't put a lot of creativity into the alternatives.
But there are balance issues. NPC battles are basically pointless when compared to how much XP you can get from stacking bonuses onto big or small Pokemon catches. They kinda fucked up in that regard. Also the motion controls suck ass, as usual, but at least you barely have to move if you're playing on the tablet.
In general it's a fun game. They're just trying something different, so good for them. I'd prefer that over the same boring shit over and over again.
