In Gale of Darkness, does the Sun Shard/Moon Shard disappear from the Key Items Pocket of your Bag once you use them to evolve Eevee into Espeon/Umbreon? I'd like to know if those items stay or not because I want to make more Espeons and Umbreons.

They disappear. Just breed some Eevees in any GBA gen 3 game and trade them

Thanks! With that being answered, what are the best Eeveelutions to use out of Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon and Umbreon?

I'm leaning toward Jolteon or Espeon. Both have incredible speed and special attack to blaze through the game really fast. There's only Thunderstone in the game (the one used to evolve Eevee if you pick Jolteon), and the GoD is the only game where the Sun Shard/Moon Shard exists. There is another Fire Stone for Growlithe/Vulpix and a Water Stone for Shellder.

Jolteon or Espeon are the best bet. Jolteon has thunderwave if you don't intent on using Shoomish and its spore. Vaporeon and Umberon are crap since tanking isn't useful in game and I don't need to explain Flareon.

I used Jolteon and is great for this game. Use Umbreon if you like the bulk/stall style, but it's already the starter of Colosseum, so it's kinda boring use him again

Vaporeon has monster SpAtk and Water and Ice and always great to have. Being tanky just means the AI will target you more often and let your other teammate do whatever.

But yeah Umbreon and Flareon are bad, don't use them.

I always use umbreon in colluseum/GoD. It's really defensive so I can be more liberal with how the rest of my team looks like. Vaporeon works as well, since I am not a fan of the water types you get in GoD.

Really good. You have to waste a TM on Jolteon end game and both are outclassed by Gardevoir (minus being way faster) but they are generally the best and are a speed runners best friend.

Decent. High HP is nice and Aurora Beam is great when you learn it but there's no Surf in GoD so your stuck with water gun/pulse as your stab.

>Umbreon
Okay but the lack of offensive presence is trouble some. You do start with a STAB move but Houndour and/or Carnavanh are much better with Bite spam.

>Flareon
Bad. Houndour is available at the start and is better. Vulpix is available half way through the game and is better (and Vulpix is awful in this game.) Use that flame thrower TM on something else.

Zapdos is literally the final fight of the game, and Manectric is basically a slower, weaker Jolteon that comes too late.

Ampharos isn't as good, Electabuzz isn't as good. The only good pokemon are Magneton and the traded Elekid, which gets the elemental punches and Cross Chop.

Espeon also has competition from Gardevoir and Claydol as a Psychic type.

Watch some old gen III doubles videos and learn the competitive strategies. Swagger on your teammate with Persim Berry, Imprison on a mon with Protect the turn before you Explode, use Reflect/Light Screen, etc.
