Some ideas for XY and SunMoon that were never materialized, sorry if my English isn't good. I am familiar with board culture.
• XY was supposed to have Iris appear where she would meet a character named Dracena but this was scrapped due to the time limit XY had at the time
• The reason for Satoshi not having a Mega Ring was due to the fact they wanted to focus on Satoshi and Gekkougas friendship. He might get an oppertunity to mega evolve one of his Pokemon ''in the future''.
• Serena was going to own one of the Hoens beginner Pokemon but they couldn't decide which one
>Shōta was going to have a Harimaron but because Citron and Manon already owned one they gave a Kimori to him instead
• A Serena episode was never created unlike Citron and Eurekas episode. Going to Hoenn was a last minute decision because they didn't know what to do with her after she lost.
• The writers are very aware of the international backlash they received after Satoshi lost. But they want us to keep in mind that if Satoshi ever won a champions league, it would be with Pikachu. Any other Pokemon after Pikachu is a sign that he will lose.
