They're not going to be specific mon based. especially for literally who mons like Marill.

Pika/Eevee is a Yellow remake and they want you to be able to catch all the extremely popular gen 1 starters in the wild.

Marill had a whole to-do around it , with the whole "Pikablu" thing. There was also a huge push to make it the Pikachu replacement

If anything, I could see them pulling the ultimate cash-grab and releasing Let's Go Togepi as a sort of Yellow version of their Yellow remake, with minor tweaks and a Togepi starter as the only Johto mon to mimic the anime.

It would be Pikachu again. Maybe they could get Marril or Togepi as the counterpart instead of Eevee this time if they do a lot of advertising for them in the months leading to the reveal (like they did with Eevee). But they're not going to drop Pikachu.

It's not about giving every gen a chance. This has literally no reason to exist. LGPE is a gateway, it panders to the lowest common denominator. The entire Johto generation doesnt add up to even a tenth of Pikachu sales in terms of merchandise, mentions on social media, whatever indicator you want to use for popularity, some Johtomons don't even generate enough revenue/buzz to justify their own trademarks. Eevee is the only mon having anything close to that tenth. There's no gain in making a Let's Go Johto, at most it'd be "Pokemon Pikachu: Let's GO! Beyond" expansion/sequel.

Rolly Out - Rollout but with 50bp + x2 every turn

Spiky Wink- Protects and then have effect of counter/mirror coat
