Do you think / want the next Pokemon generation / region / game to have its own regional forms of prior Pokemon again?

Yes but of various generations. I think they add a lot of character to the ecosystem of region and work well for expanding route variety without having to go through the work of making a completely new Pokemon.

I think it would be cool if there was a chain of islands in a part of the pokemon world that hasn't been explored by humans yet that's based on the Galapagos Islands. Every time you beat a region in the pokemon switch games you unlock new areas in that island chain with new regional forms of pokemon, including ones that have other alola or notgalapagos forms.

Give the current Alolan formas real names (Psychu, Snowshrew, Snowslash).
Rework some of the current mons into regional variations (Slugma = Johto Goomy; Plusle/Minun = Hoenn Pikachu).
Gather them into families and have the Pokedex list them by family.

They're a much better idea for buffing up new Pokémon lineups than megas. They aren't locked into one per team or withheld until postgame. There are also lower odds of invalidating the originals, except Muk and Grimer. Yes Nintetails and Marowak are much better in their Alolan forms but they also fulfill very different roles from what they do in Kanto.
