I mean, it was an ok scene, but it wasn't tearworthy imo. But everyone handles it differently.
Everything else about XY was bland and unimpactful so having this one reunion of trainer and Pokémon in an actual cutscene caught some off guard I assume.

Probably because there's 20 hours between the first and the second, and then you fight all the other ones in a row. Doesn't help that only the first 3 could offer some sort of challenge.

Yeah I didn't cry but it did make me choke up a little, just wish there was more build up to it. Post Gym 2 really needed more fleshing out but nope, anniversary no one asked for a game for needs a beta to release.

playing set with exp share off makes the game appropriately difficult, only slightly easier than past games. battling all the trainers without wild grinding keep generally below most trainer levels, you get slightly ahead with affection benefits
