Go search for all the official merchandise it has and compare it to the anime's, also look at all the references and ideas from the anime that appear in the games and compare them to ones the manga has; look at Masuda's latest statements regarding the anime as well, GF and OLM hold meetings frequently. Not to mention, the writing in these last three or four arcs has been garbage, with BW2 ruining the possibility of using characters and places in later arcs thanks to its constant delays and cancellations; and also the fact that the writer has gone full edgelord with his protagonists, almost in a New 52-esque fashion.
