Many people would disagree and say that dragonite shares many design traits with other pokemon

As for the "dragonite doesn't look like its prevos" meme, nobody gives a shit. Some pokemon look like their prevos, some don't. If you think it would better if it was blue or more snake-like, good for you. Have a cookie, next time make an original thread please

The line was supposed to be salamanders that retained their gills by using them as wings.
Blame Dragonair for not keeping its original design that had Dratini’s gills and Dragonite’s antennae. Game Freak thought tacking on pointless blue orbs was more important than having thematic and visual cohesion in the line.
