Basic thread time

Poison is definetly my favorite type. Lots of great designs and shiny variants, and the poisoned status effects are very fun to use in battles.

I'm a simple person with simple likes, love the practically defining quirks quite a lot of them have and the occasional freakazoid Normal types are all in good fun. Also helps that the Route 1 archetypes are my favourite group of Pokemon.

Steel is based. My favorites are fire and ice because I like a lot of the poke designs as well. Ice has gotten a lot more mons lately but some of them have diluted its coolness a little.

Bug was weak before gen 4. I'd say Gen 4-7 has only been buffing them.

Which is good because they're my favorite type. I only wish Surskit got a new alternate evolution that kept its Water typing so I could have my dream Bug type team.

Zigzagoon is my 2nd favorite, since its pretty quick and can learn good TM/HM in Emerald.

But the best in game IMO is the gen 5 dog. I ditched my starter and made Lilipup my main mon.

Normal type.

A lot of my favourite pokemon are in it (Gumshoos, Bewear, Cinccino). I love feeding petting squirrels, chipmunks, and birds IRL.

I also like how most of the normal mons are found early in the games. I usually like them more than my starter desu. And having a pokemon from the beginning of the journey, that you caught yourself is pretty cool.

Probably Fighting. It's such a great typing to have ingame (besides Kanto and maybe Johto) and there's a lot of Fighting types I really like, such as Poliwrath, Scrafty, Chesnaught, Gallade, Kommo-o (I have not yet used Kommo-o in a game, maybe one day), and the powerful moves are always fun.

Fairy
So many Fairy pokemon are my favorites, Mimikyu, Cutiefly, Togekiss, Gardevoir, I could go on and on. Not to mention it's just a fucking strong type. Also, special attacks are just more fun to use than physical ones? I know that seems strange, but I just have more fun using Thunderbolt than Thunder Punch, and Fairy has some great special moves.

Bug is a garbage Type (it's getting better, but it's still pretty bad), but it has some of the coolest designs in the series. Ghost used to be my favorite, but it kind of got supplanted when I realized that almost all of my favorites were insectoids.

I've always had a thing for normies.
It's basically vanilla - the type, and I like the concept of having a "normal" type.
Also the designs are wide and varied

Got to go with dark type because it's the most interesting type conceptually. Not many pokemon are dark types because they look like a dark type, but because of the way they act, either like an asshole or some other form of fighting dirty.

Flying because I have an unreasonably high appreciation for birds, flight and any related symbols. In any game where flying (or something close to it) is restricted to certain skills or a certain class, etc., I always go for those.
I think Fire, Electric, Fighting and Grass are pretty cool too, but that's more because they have intrinsically appealing designs rather than any deeper autism automatically making me give them bonus points.

If I were a specialist trainer, I’d go for Fighting type. Very straightforward playstyle. However, I only prefer a handful of the designs. I choose fighting type mostly because some of my top mons are fighting and not because I like the majority of the roster

If it's about the type with most amount of Pokémon I love, it's Posion or Dark.

WTF is a "dark" attack ? Are you attacking with a lack of light ? WTF is that. I don't uderstand. I can conceptualise a fire attack, a water one.

I don't really get "Fairy" but i guess it's something like "magic".
But "Dark" ? WTF is that shit ?

But i LOVE dark pokémons. Scrafty is my favorite, Mightyena is bae, and so on...

So is Dark my favorite type ? I don't know, but it has the coolest pokemons

Grass. I love forests and camping, and Grass as a type itself is a great example of how a type can have many weaknesses and still hold its own. Also it has Cradily and Cacturne, two of my favourites.
