>>37160770No, most companies do that. The issue is with not hiring like 1,000 more people to do that and, most importantly, not taking the time needed.
They had trouble working on two games at once and took like 6 years to develop a GAME BOY game. There is no way without much more help or going back to 2.5D (as they really should so they can stop cock blocking side 3D games for people who want them since main series was better 2/2.5D anyway) that they can put out these kinds of games on a yearly basis.
They NEED to take the time regardless of hiring more people or not. They act like like people will forget about it if they take the time needed to make the game decent but releasing shit time and again in a row makes people WANT to forget it.
BotW took 5 fucking years and had some issues but STILL sold way better than many of the games in the series. If it can do that, even in Japan when BotW is a primarily western liked series, then Pokémon doesn't have anything to fear.
If anything the hype about finally getting a new game after 5+ years - presuming the old one had content to hold everyone over to begin with like they could if they just stopped fucking around because it's already got at least 250 hours worth of content that's been removed over the last 10 years - would be massive.
They have plenty of side games to keep people hooked, they just need to start making them again instead of trying to make mobileshit of them.
