Is there any other game developing company out there that has such huge opportunities but constantly misses nearly 95% of them? Or has such a "innovation complex" if you could call it that, not really sure if this already has a name.

I mean, I don't think Gamefreak are talentless. They've shown that they're capable of doing great things and implementing good features and put effort into their games. But why do they feel the need to constantly say "Okay, we did that and we're done with it." Was there ever a need to get rid of DexNav or PSS? Possibly for the Switch titles but I'm sure with some GOOD Innovation you could work them into it. With every step forward Gamefreak takes its like they run a marathon backwards, even with Alola being the most mediocre so far it still implemented some good features like Poke Rides and Bottlecaps, but those will inevitably get removed in the future. Why do you think they do this? What reason do they have to shoot themselves in the foot like that? I don't think anyone ever actually hated the PSS, DexNav, PWT, Battle Frontier, Bottlecaps, ect. Who wasn't being a contrarian faggot. It just upsets me to know that while the newer games are decent that they could be so much better but Gamefreak just chooses not to put the effort in.
