No one would have a problem with calling it mainline if All Pokemon could be transfered to LGPE, Abilities/Held Items weren’t removed, and if the GO style catching was only in the safari zone.
Granted, it would still be shit and a worst Kanto remake (and remake in general) because of all its other problems, but removing most of the Pokemon from being obtainable and core mechanics only makes it worse.
