I always thought Farfetch'd was Gen 2 until just recently.
For a while I thought Lickitung and Pinsir were Gen 2 as well.

Were you playing Red/Blue when they came out? It's pretty inexcusable to get the gen of anything from Gen I wrong. Especially since the fucking Pokerap exists.

I thought Slugma,Chinchou + evols were gen 3 and not 2 and Mismagius was gen 4
I don't remember seeing them anywhere and I'm pretty sure the first time I saw a slugma was in that lava/fire tunnel in Sapphire.

Maybe I just forgot about them or something.

I thought Lumineon and Finneon were Gen 5 at one point since I never played Gen IV or V because I didn't have a DS and my computer of the day was too shit to run the emulator, but that's it.

I have since obtained copies of Diamond, White and White 2 and am in the process of bringing myself to delete the preexisting savefile on Diamond unable to transfer the pokes on it because I only have the one 2DS.

Mismagius is Gen 4. Misdreavus was gen 2, but you could only find it in the area before Red in Mt. Silver, so it was easy to overlook. The other two are definitely Gen 2.

None at all besides maybe steelix for gen 1. I'm not sure if that was the case.

Though I used to believe the gen 2 starters were fakemons since I started late gen 3 and into 4

To be fair, the "Elite" Four are in the first half of the game, I don't remember what pokemon Erika uses either. I'm actually pretty sure Koga gets weaker in Gen II/IV than he was in Gen 1/3.
I like Gen II, but it was very forgettable, especially since you roflstomp everything before Kanto.
