>>37173564The vast majority of open world games are shit because they put more focus on the breadth of content rather than the depth. Development becomes exponentially more difficult the more content you have, and very few developers can manage it without shitting up the combat, writing, balance, or even the basic stability of the game. Yeah, you can explore 500 caves in Skyrim, but there's no fucking point when you know you're just going to go in a loop, fight some draugr along the way, and pull a lever that moves literal tons of stone so you never have to explore a dungeon. You have no place to talk about bad taste when open world games are by and large the most braindead games in the industry.
