Excadrill and Archeops are really powerful. Pretty much all the Fighting types are very viable as well. Even Eviolite Gurdurr if you can't evolve is a serious force, and Fighting is a really good type in Unova as well.

Galvantula and Scolipede have been named. Lilligant is cool, but you have to trade for it in Black, otherwise Sawsbucks is the best Grass type option. Musharna is a good and early Psychic type option because Black doesn't have Reuniclus. Sigilyph is cool, imo, though some people don't like its design. Same for Scrafty, which is waaaaaay better than Mienshao because it evolves a dozen levels earlier and gets High Jump Kick 20 levels earlier. Krookodile and Golurk are strong, as is Haxorus, which far eclipses anything else in the game with Dragon Dance. I can't remember if you can get Chandelure before the Elite 4 because it evolves with a stone.

Archeops rapes with Acrobatics
Darmanitan just rapes
Eelektross is compatible with many TMs such as Flamethower, Acrobatics, Grass Knot, etc
Tons of good options

You do get Chandelure before e4, but grinding it into a lampent for the first 10-15 levels is kinda irritating. You can get the Dusk Stone in Mistralton Cave or on route 10 from some dude

Fyi, the trade for Lilligant is an in-game one. Basically, you trade your Grass-type for the other game's which is super fucking neat and I wish the games did these things more often.

There is an in-game trade in Nacrene City that gives you a Petlil for a Cottonee

They did it in both Unova games, you can find the Trainer in Route in B2W2.
There was also a similar concept in FRLG where you can get the less common Nidoran by trading someone the more common one (which at that point in the game is like 14% for 1% and the only other place with them is Safari Zone which has its own problems)

Just Audino grind, since they literally can't hurt you.

Also Lillipup is like the only half-decent mon before the first gym. Watchog is okay but falters, while Liepard is utter shite and probably the worst thing to use. The monkeys are alright once you evolve them but until then they're kind of bad. Stoutland is a complete wrecking ball until the lategame where it goes from strong to alright.

The desert is full of insanely good mons. Maractus is probably the worst but probably usable. Dwebble also doesn't nuke as hard as the rest but is underrated with level up Stealth Rock for Elesa and two good abilities.

it puts you to sleep in tall grass and guess where you fucking audino most of the time? And because Audino learns a new move only every 5 levels, it will have it for a good while.

Haxorus is stupid OP. If you find yourself struggling, just train one of those up. Excadril, Archeops, Darmanitan, and Scrafty fill the next tier to me (Reuniclus would be there too).

Can't go wrong with Krookodile, Conkeldurr, or Galvantula. The Swords of Justice (legendary trio of fighting types) are a lot of fun if you're the type that's willing to use legionaries.

This was the first game where I legit used a legendary in game. Virizion was just too damn fucking cool. Love the guy. Even beat the Battle Subway bosses with him.

Whimsicott if you like having a member of your team that isn't just a simple attacker. Make sure to get a trickster whimsicott and load it up with status moves and you can play a pretty fun stall/condition game, works really well if you hit a wall because priority leech seed/toxic is based.

Archeops is my favorite pokemon of all time, but it only really shined in gen V when it had flight gem. You can basically one-shot anything in the game with flight gem acrobatics, but it costs a flight gem each time.
