I had been warned about how game-breaking the exp share was, so I never used it, and my pokemon were fairly consistently lower in level than most other trainers. My team was ~level 55 when I went to the E4. But the E4 was STILL a fucking joke, even though the rest of the game was a fairly okay challenge with my team.
And I was hoping that the champion would end up being someone I wouldn't expect from my journey, and yet it was this completely forgettable literally-who instead. Pathetic.
