In fact those things make it worse because it tells you that in most cases that the one doing it knows the criticisms they'll get meaning they know what they're doing is shit and don't care.

Agreed. OP if you have to preface a design with "I know it has x flaws but!" then what the fuck were you expecting to hear? It's an overdesigned tacky mess, the spriteart itself is poor - even without shading the pose and anatomy are shit. Don't quit your day job

It's a mess, way to overdesigned and there's no subtlety at all.
Imagine if Delibird had a human face, a real beard, had a sled and half of its body was covered in ice crystals.

It's doing too much. It looks like you came up with like six different fakemon and then fused them to get this. My (unprofessional) advice would be to pick one or two elements from this design and scrap the rest.

For real though if this is a serious design you've gone for way too many design elements on a small frame, narrow it down to just two or three. A Christmas dragon with ice spikes and a tree tail, a Christmas snow unicorn with ice hooves and a carrot horn, a little Christmas snow kitty with the bell and buttons and a red nose. Hell that could even be a whole evo line of wildly different snow sculpture monsters going from tiny cat up to huge dragon. Putting all those features on one little dog shape body looks beyond tacky and childish, like if flareon also had ram horns, hoop earrings, huge ruby encrusted wings, leopard spots, and a bunch of flaming katanas for a tail.

Or follow >>37189825 and commit to an ice theme. Can’t twll if you’re going for an eevee evolution, but since there’s glaceon idk if that’s a good way to go.

Overall I like the core of the concept, it can use some touch up definitely but you got sometbing nice going

Made a complete redesign of your deer.

I think the main problem with it is that you put too much stuff into the whole design, which ends up making it look very amateurish and poorly designed. Just make it simple enough with fewest ideas as possible and incorporate it into the design, without making it too unnatural.
