also i don't remember having so much hard time with bidoof's missions, back when i played pmd eos i have completed all the special missions in one attempt

i got lucky there was a narrow tunnel next to the monster house room so i have made a queue of steel and rock types to get fugged by 3HKO bidoof moves. also fuck rest jirachi. tottle seed spam helped

Speaking of this, it feels like roleplaying with /vp/ shitposters with Bidoof costantly saying "oof" and Meowth repeating "yikes".

I ended with Bulbasaur + Meowth team Catnip, somewhat have costant Spinarak and Psyduck in my team too. Will probably swap them once the hard dungeons begin, especially the fire ones when I need Kingdra and Water Pulse spam. Currently doing the Team Brap episode.

Red Rescue team was my first Pokemon Game for the gameboy and honestly first Pokemon game I remember in general. I replayed it so much, my very first team was Mudkip (starter) and Bulbasaur (Partner). I think the best memory is going up sky tower and facing off against Rayquaza for the first time. It may be nostalgia or the fact I was a kid at the time but I just don't think any game will be able to recapture that kind of feeling again.

Rescue Team.
It's a great game but the rest are better in many ways just by virtue of learning from the first, although it does have some features later games lack.
If you play it first, you can enjoy it for what it is and not think of how later games did something better or worse.
Release order is the official /vp/ approved™ way of playing the series.

Also it has friend areas and some really outstanding music.

Honestly play in order of release, even though I think Sky is better than Super the lack of QoL features if you go backwards will hurt a lot, especially if you play anything before Red/Blue Rescue. Also consider skipping GtI since it is shit.

what am i supposed to do? i didn't have time to farm reviver seeds and stuff, there was no indication the plot would drag me like this, i can't even use my team mates against a pokemon with a AOE 120 base attack.

I was in an unfortunate situation near end game and I feel like it was Special Rift. Can you exit the Kangkaskhan room to the south? When I did that, I went down to a Kang with storage available instead of just saving, and was able to re-supply properly for the fight. I had to go through 2 dungeon's worth of floors compared to 1 when I died at the boss, but it was totally worth it.

It ain't much better in Explorers, I was disappointed on the few I tried to make it work on.

I suppose you could treat it as a room-hitting gravelrock or w/e but it will rarely be useful when the game's actually hard.

Blue Rescue Team doesn't need a remake, it only needs several minor fixes. Improve the menus, make them remember where the cursor was, make the "eat" menu work with every Pokemon rather than just the leader, make it possible to send Pokemon home the moment you recruit them (this fixes the hard to recruit Pokemon in level 1 dungeons in my opinion), make it more like Explorers in general, don't make Pokemon leave your team after every mission, and so on.
Additionally, IQ groups could be a good thing. Maybe even make the inventory larger since a lot of people don't like it being small. The last two change the game a bit too much though, maybe they'd be better if they were optional.

One of the bigger problems is that your inventory is really small. It's like two pages, and it never goes beyond that. It might be fair for shorter dungeons but it might as well not exist for postgame.
Also I still have no idea why the fuck they thought it'd be a good idea to have fourth party slot but not make it available for normal party members.

I think on the original hardware it is based on 2 things: how still you keep contact with the screen and the favourite colour you select in the options. Using emulators on PC, I remember the aura would always end up as grey, because touching the screen with the mouse was always perfectly still and grey is what the default firmware file had as favourite colour.
I don't think the VC version lets you change your colour, so I guess it only depends on how stable the contact is.
I'm not sure though.

I don't know how they cab cap SMD again, they literally made big crossover with all the continents and plot pokemon, brought god tier music and an interesting final battle.

The next game will always pale in comparison to Sky and SMD, my guess is they can bring back all the locations from all games with a plot that explains all the previous events, but that would be SMD 2

Force Palm already did a lot of damage and had a chance to paralyze. After giving Riolu a Rage Seed, it was doing hundreds of damage each hit, and was keeping Dialga paralyzed long enough to keep it from getting too many attacks in.

My friend was watching me do it and he got so fucking upset when Riolu swept Dialga for me; apparently the fight was supposed to be hard.

i don't think so, you can battle them on kecleon's rug but they don't trigger it unless i guess they do damage it with expanded field attacks or abilities
the skuntank that exploded wasn't even on the rug tiles but kecleon was on the border of it and took damage, then it was fucked up
it said "kecleon is watching carefully" then my partners started to attack it as soon as it took damage from aftermath and kecleon fought back and attacked the leader too, after being defeated another one appeared

I've been putting a lot of thought into a PMD campaign I intend to star hopefully within the next couple of months, and there's one thing I just can't decide on how to handle.

Where the fuck does Poke come from? The currency in the games that is. Currency implies some sort of economy that's evolved beyond a standard barter system. Is there a big city of Pokemon in the PMD world where there's law enforcement and where Poke comes from or some shit?

You can accrue three million experience points after reaching the level cap (I know I did back in Rescue Team), but you won't see any benefit to that unless you've been juicing up all the while.
