Gen7 was good too. Vikavolt, Ribombee and Golisopod.

Now that i think about it, gen5 and gen7 are both the best gens for Bug and for Ghost types.

I find that argument bullshit too. Gen 5 had more designs I liked despite being “quantity over quality”. Every gen will have shitty designs so less doesn’t equate to more

Quantity is better than quality when it comes to pokemon, because every person in the world is gonna like different pokemons. So making a lot of them is gonna ensure everyone is somehow satisfied.

This. Gen 5 has like 30 mons I absolutely despise, but because it introduced more than any other generation it also has a lot of my favourites. If a Gen only has 80 mons, they better knock it out of the park with every single one of them.

Vivillon is the best Special Bug/Flying mon we've ever gotten, and being the 'only bug pokemon in gen6' is nothing given how customizable it is with its many formes.
